Precision dairy management involves the use of sensors to collect information automatically, and the use of robotics and other automation to deliver labor and management tasks automatically, resulting in reduced labor and management time and improved productivity and profitability.
The 4th US Precision Dairy Conference was held in-person in Bloomington, MN or virtually via the event app on June 22-23, 2021. The conference had wonderful speakers from various sectors within the dairy industry including dairy producers, consultants, veterinarians, industry leaders, and researchers.
The 3rd US Precision Dairy Conference and Expo, organized by the University of Minnesota and University of Kentucky, was held in Lexington, KY, May 30-June 1. The program included dairy producer showcase sessions, many industry updates, and presentations on how research impacts dairy management. The trade show was an opportunity to see first-hand what companies have to offer in the growing field of precision technologies and equipment.

The 2nd US Precision Dairy Conference and Expo included dairy producer showcase sessions, several industry updates, and three plenary talks that summarized practical precision dairy management information. Over 40 exhibitors were at the trade show, which provided attendees the opportunity to see first-hand what companies have to offer in the growing field of precision technologies and equipment. This event was designed for dairy producers and practical applications rather than focusing on presentation of research data. The event was held at the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester, MN, June 24 and 25, 2015.

The first-ever Precision Dairy Conference and Expo held in the US was held in Rochester, MN in June of 2013. This very successful event drew 540 attendees from 24 countries, 25 US states, and 4 Canadian provinces. The conference program included the latest research abstracts, national and international speakers who are experts in the field of precision technology, and panels of producers who are using robotic milking, sensors and automated calf feeders. At the Expo, vendors showcased what they had to offer in precision dairy technology, gave demonstrations and answered questions, provided information, and discussed with attendees the advantages of using precision technology on the farm.
