CFANS Borealis Award Recipients

April 23, 2021
The Department of Animal Science is proud to recognize the accomplishments of members of our department who were honored in the 2021 class of Borealis Award Recipients. Borealis Awards, typically acknowledged as part of the Borealis Night of Excellence event each spring, recognize graduates, students, faculty, staff, and friends who have made significant contributions to the College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences (CFANS) community. Borealis Awards are reviewed by the CFANS Alumni Society, Undergraduate Student Board, and Graduate Student Board.

Congratulations to the following current or past members of our department for their recognition this year:
  • Outstanding Club Advisor — Leslie Hansen (BS '73, MS '75 Animal Science)
  • Distinguished Alumni — James (Jim) Nesseth (BS '76 Animal Science, MEd '00)
  • Given the circumstances of being unable to celebrate Borealis Awards in-person this year, the event will be taking place tomorrow evening, April 20th, from 7 - 8:15 p.m. to recognize the outstanding achievements and contributions of awards recipients to CFANS. Congratulations once more to all of this year's award recipients!
